What Is This? - Poem by Steeven A. Smith
What is a picture?
Is it a moment
frozen in time to be relived and cherished
or a paralyzing insight as to who we were then?
How much have we changed?
The past held so many paths.
Each decision made
for better for worse
likened into those things which formed your identity
Were the times happy?
Are you afraid of the future?
The beauty of a picture lies not within its material form
but the sight it gives into a human mind
and the soul which thrives behind it.
