In this final goodbye,
No blood can stain, no alibi,
For I am burdened by regret,
From the web of lies I've spun, I fret.
But let mercy come and wash away,
The sins and mistakes of yesterday,
I'll gaze upon myself, no mask to wear,
As I cross out the sins I bear.
With trembling hands, I'll erase,
The person I've become, a disgrace,
And I'll let go of all that's past,
For the first time, I'll find peace at last.
Laying to rest, your thoughts of me,
I'll clean this slate with uncertainty,
For what I've done, I can't undo,
But I'll start anew, with hopes anew.
So let mercy come and wash away,
The scars and wounds of yesterday,
I'll face myself, with courage true,
And I'll erase myself, to become someone new.
For what I've done, I'll pay the price,
But I'll rise again, like a phoenix in flight,
And though pain may come, I'll stand tall,
For today, I vow, to end it all.
I'll forgive myself, for all I've done,
For the battles I've lost, and the wars I've won,
And I'll face myself, with no more shame,
As I cross out the past, and start again.
No more running, no more hiding,
No more pretending, no more lying,
I'll face the mirror, and see the truth,
For the first time, I'll break through.
With each step, I'll leave the past behind,
And in the present, I'll begin to find,
The strength to rise, and the courage to fight,
For what I've done, will no longer hold me tight.
For I am more than the sum of my mistakes,
I am more than the shadows I can't shake,
I am a survivor, a fighter, a warrior within,
And with each breath, I'll rise again and again.
No more walls, no more chains,
No more guilt, no more pains,
I'll let go of what I've done,
And in that freedom, I'll find the sun.
I'll spread my wings, and fly so high,
With every beat, my soul will sigh,
For I am free, from the weight I've carried,
And I'll soar above the clouds, unburdened and unscarried.
So let mercy come and wash away,
The stains of regret that once held sway,
I'll face myself, with no more fear,
And I'll let go of what I've done, for what's ahead, is clear.
I am reborn, a new creation,
A blend of courage, and determination,
For what I've done, no longer defines me,
I am the author of my own destiny.
So as I bid farewell to the past,
I'll embrace the future, for I'm not the last,
I am a warrior, with a heart of gold,
And I'll rewrite my story, as it unfolds.
What I've done, I'll never forget,
But I'll choose to forgive, and not regret,
For in the end, it's not about the mistakes I've made,
But the lessons learned, and the person I've become, unafraid.
So with my head held high, and my heart full of grace,
I'll march forward, with a smile on my face,
For what I've done, has made me strong,
And I'll keep moving on, where I belong.
