What Lies Inside And Out Poem by Shannon Glass

What Lies Inside And Out

Dark as night,
No one's here.
Tried to keep calm,
No one comes near.

Lost in a world,
That can't get out.
She screams and shouts,
Yet no one's about.

She cries all alone,
And cuts to the bone.
Nobody sees the pain she feels.
An how it's oh so real.

She tries not to cry,
Yes she tries and tries.
But she can't deny,
The pain that lies inside.

Oh the fear that lies,
Deep in her eyes.
Nobody knows all the secrets she hides,
Or why she always sighs.

Depression seen her fate,
When it comes midnight it will be too late.
Her pain gained and gained,
Cuts, bruises and scars all stained.

She took her knife and sliced herself,
She cut and diced herself.
All that's left on the floor,
Was a girl who's no more.

You can paint many colours,
You can see all the stars.
There's many different colours,
And many different scars...

Some of the best writing comes from the highest highs and lowest lows. Thanks for your courage to share what is true and down deep.
