What Love Never Had Poem by Nana Afriyie

What Love Never Had

Now you have it, now you don't
Confusing and fleeting its out the door
Was it here, what did it want?
Took all love had and left love poor

Was a jolly good time on love's see-saw
Till it crashed
And love let out a mighty hee-haw
Bruised and trashed
Love sought and saw
Now fixed and patched
Love closes love's door

Wasn't love love saw in love's eyes?
Was it love love heard in love's cries?
Is it me you watch as I sleep?
Or to sorrows from the past you heed?
Love left love's path
Love lost what love never had
