What Makes Life Worth Living Poem by William F. O'Brien

What Makes Life Worth Living

What makes life worth while?
What makes life worth living?
The answer is ---- Only our sharing
And our giving!

The only things we truly save,
Are those we give away.
For we are only caretakers,
During our earthly stay.

What we give and share on earth,
Builds treasures for us in Heaven.
So give freely of your wealth, time and blessings,
Your rewards will be more than you're guessing,

Give away what you have on earth,
Come! Follow me!
The man who keeps the score in Heaven,
Will surely always see.

My grandmother would recite this poem to others when she really wanted to send an important message. I liked the others by Mr. O'Brien too.
