What Our Life Could'Ve Been Like Poem by Reekrit Serai

What Our Life Could'Ve Been Like

Goodnight, sweet love,
Close your eyes until sweet dreams come
To you;

Goodnight, sweet love,
Hug your pillow and drift away for love
To find you;

As you sleep, and I'm awake,
I see you smile and wonder what makes
You happy;

Many nights, after many days,
I see your sweet face and think
About us three;

We had a family, a little one and us,
Playing in gardens of flowers and fields of green;

Now, it's just you, and me,
With no dreams, no love, but tear drops and screams;

So, sleep well, sweet love,
Bid farewell to the days of wanting to be loved,

And drift away, with me too,
Let's together dream what our life could've been like.
