What's Inside My Soul Poem by Kgosigkadi Asher Mavuso

What's Inside My Soul

What’s inside my soul

Right now I can see the lights of the heavens
Doors ain't open for me but I just have the edge of breaking in.
Only for a while until the storm is cool.
I know I've done wrong in my life
I know that every outcome right now is a product of my doings.
From the time I met you to the time I conceived you my life changed
Right now I don't know if it changed to the best or to the worst.
I am angry at YOU cause for as long as I can remember
I’m always crying
Sometimes I think I have the worst cause I always feel as if I’m paying for my sins.
I try to be strong so much that I feel as if I don't try enough.
I just want to die.
I just want to take a lot of tablets and sleep.
I just want to lie down and sleep forever.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I hope this isn't real but great description. The last four verses I would edit. Just cause you probably could improve the poem. Love the verse 'I can see the lights of the heavens' What contradicts the poem is it starts off as the poet being a strong person, a fighter against the odds then at the end it turned which is good but you could broaden this poem to be better by some more thought and edit.

oh scary! as long as this isnt how you exactly feel. i like the clear description of how you feel. i was waiting for the last two lines to rhyme cos its a sonnet you said.
