What’s Truth?

We know that truth will always stand
That man invents his lie
But still too few can understand
A liar’s doomed to die

Though Jesus’ blood has paved the way
Through death upon the tree
The world still thinks we have to pay
Salvation can’t be free

Where are we from, why are we here?
What reason do we live?
If Christ on earth should now appear
What would we have to give?

The world believes there’s no way out
She spends her life in sin
She fills her children’s minds with doubt
And helps the devil win

So what is truth and what’s a lie?
What’s fact and make believe?
What future’s planned for you and I?
Can Satan still deceive?

Like foolish sheep we mill around
Believing Satan’s lie
Few seldom seek for higher ground
And so like fools they die

So from His throne Christ chose to part
And die for us on earth
So truth could dwell within man’s heart
And guide to second birth

We need but ask for faith to see
For ears God’s truth to hear
We must repent bend now our knee
And learn God’s name to fear...

Pontius Pilate asked the same question...'what is truth? ' then turned away. This is the dillemma most of us find ourselves in, believing what seems to be the concensus and not out of conviction.

Is fear the begining of wisdom? if so what is wisdom?
