What's Wrong Dad? Poem by Eugene Pappan

What's Wrong Dad?

It's pushing empty swings
It's a car seat that collects dust
It's washing clothes that weren't worn
It's your food expiring in the freezer
It's not laying on your side of the bed
It's listening to song alongs in silence
It's hearing what you learned without me
It's pictures of moments we didn't share
It's the time between seeing you
It's feeing entirely absent
It's every millisecond we are apart
