What Went Wrong? Poem by Silence Dogood

Have you ever watched me cry.
And see this hurts me too.
Have you ever looked at me.
And seen I'm just like you.

The past is behind us.
But were still hanging on.
Unable to let go.
Though we know whats wrong.

I break all my promises.
Though I really really try.
You act as if it's my fault.
As if it were a lie.

I never ment to hurt you.
Or cause you any pain.
So go ahead and be mad.
Cause I know I am to blame.

I tried to be loyal.
Be the best friend ever.
But since we stopped trying.
Things have gotten better.

But I look back at the memories.
And realize my mistake.
I try to fix it everday.
But know I am too late.

The damage has been done.
The wounds will not heal.
But before you say it's my fault.
Just think of how I feel.

I've went to bed crying.
For every little thing.
The bad and the good.
That has happened to me.

It seems like I hurt those I love.
And push everyone away.
It seems like I'm just a failure.
For not wanting you to stay.

You were everything I never was.
Faithful, honest, and strong.
You were my bestest friend.
So tell me what went wrong?
