Diluted emotions, emotions of insignificance,
Unfulfilled promises, crushed hopes,
Dad's dazed dizzy delusions,
Mom's mindless, meaningless illusions,
Far from the madding crowd,
Crazy crowd, mass hysteria,
Collective schizophrenia, paranoia, mania,
What's man suffering from?
What is his anathema? His bugbear?
Mood swings? the emotional pendulum?
Misconstrued wishes? miscalculated expectations?
Misdirected cravings? to crave for the unattainable?
Man's philosophical confusion, psychological puzzlement,
His scientific failures, familial disillusionments,
Broken relations, split families, serial killers,
Man is prone to a fatal Incomprehension,
Vulnerable to a toxic incompetency to see reason,
Doomed to a life not of his own accord,
‘'bestowed'' to him by the divinity,
For his flaws, rebellion and idiocy!
Man's life is fraught with frustrations,
Unable to grasp the cusp of enlightenment,
The edge of realization, the light of perception,
The brink of logical cognition, the brim of conscious recognition,
Waiting for the Godot, for the savior,
Is it a waste of time? Is he squandering his strength?
Waiting for the panacea, emotional cure-all,
Which turns out to be a recipe for disaster,
Of human bondage, Or human enslavement?
Emotional inability to processes the feelings,
Psychological follies, mental imbecilities,
Are his key ingredients,
Can't regulate his emotional roller coaster,
He is simply hormonally charged,
Emotionally challenged, sensationally fatigued,
His compassion dried up, feelings depleted,
He is chemically imbalanced, like a psychopath,
He feels no remorse, no compunction, no pain,
What will become of this confused species? ? ? ?
