What You Mean To Me Poem by Matthew Burfoot

What You Mean To Me

You come in and make me smile, take down my guard with no sweat,
Take my trust like a free sample, and take no notice of it.
I let you in, I told you everything, you said you understand but I know where
I stand, but wait I sit.
I sit and watch as you take everything I have close, my emotions, and faith,
and then to watch you leave without a scrape.
"Hey do you remember me? "
