never knew i wanted you
never knew how special i thought you were
and of course you never knew
how i prayed for you every night
how i hoped you'd see the light
how i longed for you
and missed you dearly
i watched you with many girls
and how they just passed the time
how you only wanted them for a few days
and then tossed them away
but that is all they ever wanted anyway
but that aint what i want
i want to belong to you
and you to belong to me
but now i know
that maybe it aint meant to be
and its okay
