Whatever Happened - Poem by joseph freeman
Whatever happened to the good old days
When christians had godly ways
When they really cared about those in need
Exhibiting godliness with godly deed
Their lives were filled with service & prayer
When a believer needed them they were there
They hungered & thirsted after righteousness
& lived a life that God could bless
Now their lives filled with love of self
All week long God's on a shelf
Dressed to kill they straddle a pew
Their christian duty on Sunday to do
Then live like hell the rest of the week
Promoting self their own interests they seek
Whatever happened to living right?
Whatever happened to walking in the light?
