When

When I fell in love, I thought I'd be forever
Or I never would have fallen in love
Rejection was always a part of my life
But, this love was going to be my wife

In the screwed up world that's been my time
Seems love has ended before it's begun
When all those words at bedtime
Just fade in the warmth of the sun

If I ever give my heart it will be unconditionally
Because I will never again give my heart
But, once in a lifetime, a soul mate comes along
Who shows you that she is willing to belong

So you take that chance again and pull out your heart
And if you are very very lucky you find a sweetheart
The moment that I know that she feels that way too
Is the moment that I fell in love with you
