When Hell Comes Knocking

If Jesus walks and talks with you
If Fire’s ablaze inside
And if you’ve drunk of Heaven’s Dew
Then love’s become your guide

Love’s the power within our soul
Healing our eyes once blind
Within our heart making us whole
And bringing change of mind

The Dew God gives His child to drink
God gives His child to grow
To teach us walk to talk and think
And stand against the flow

When blizzards rage when tempests roar
When drought and famine reign
When hell comes knocking at the door
It’s love that bares the strain

Fire’s our mighty touch from God
Our fortress strong and true
Our Counsellor God’s chastening Rod
And righter of the few

Praise God for all His goodness now
For blessings whilst we’re here
For power that makes the devil bow
And demons run in fear

What has a child of God to fear?
When love has come to stay
When Jesus Christ is ever near
To help us on The Way

Give praise to God our mighty King
Thank Christ His awesome Son
Let blessing ring, let’s dance and sing
For all life’s victory’s won
