When Jesus Came (1)

When Jesus came to take our load
To heal and set us free
What wondrous joy He then bestowed
When Satan bent the knee

Authority; firm in Jesus’ hand
Obedience, brought Life’s dawn
Through grace, The Truth we understand
When in His name reborn

What virtue came from love’s embrace?
What treasure, did God outpour?
What great unknown is yet to face?
Beyond Salvation’s Door

Perhaps your walk is void of Light
Your song, is Satan taught
And though hell’s gates are plain in sight
Of God you give no thought

For such as you! “The Truth” was sent
For such as me! He came
We need but from our sin repent
Through faith in Jesus’ name

But even if we start to sink
Face thoughts of death and hell
Don’t let the devil make you think
The Lord can’t make things well

Alone God’s Lamb was void of sin
Lived free of every crime
All else have let the devil win
At least from time to time

But fear of God must first return
When peace neglects the soul
Allow God’s living Flame to burn
In those who’ve missed the goal P.T.O…
