When I walk up slowly behind you and kiss you behind your ear
It is merely to let you know that I got your back there is no need for fear
When I whisper that I love you so only your soul can hear
It is merely to let you know that I hold you so precious and dear
When I kiss you while you sleep so peacefully in my arms
It is merely to let you know that I shield you from all harm
When I stroke your hair and delight in your tender charm
It is merely to let you know that there will never be a need for alarm
When I wash the dirt of the day from the surface of your skin
It is merely to let you know that my care will not grow thin
When I passionately make love to you from within
It is merely to let you know that my love for you will not end
