When I Am Gone Poem by Stephen Olufemi Omolara

When I Am Gone

In the sands of time, I'll fade away,
But memories of me will gently sway.
In laughter shared and tears we've shed,
In stories told and dreams we've fed.

Though I'll be gone, my essence lives on,
In every heart, my spirit's song.
A legacy of love, kind deeds I've sown,
In every life, a part of me is shown.

For every smile I've brought your way,
For every moment, come what may,
Remember me with fondness deep,
In dreams at night, in thoughts we keep.

And when the stars above do shine,
Know that my light will always chime.
For though I'm gone, I'll never depart,
In memories cherished, I'll forever reside in your heart.
