When I Die Poem by T.A. Rosenbaum

When I Die

One day, when I die and pass away
I may then fly, in my form no more to stay
Where the sun is warm and a score of flowers sway
And play, as they, a lifetime never to stray

My life is slow, I only feel, never see
And I cannot know, only can I believe
This simple truth, all fears relieve
Never a whither or why
My petals wither and die
All is still beautiful
