When I Go Poem by Mark Hopwood

When I Go

When I go walking around this place of mine
People are talking but only in my mind
I'm empty and blind.

When I go running around the circles of my head
The demons are gunning and wanting me dead
It's a Fiery red.

It's the same thing day in, day out
Silent screams of let me out
The same old thing day out and day in
I'm cemented, trapped and locked in.

When I go swimming in the river of my emotions
It feels like i'm drowning in all the commotion
Just drinking the potion.

When I go sitting in the corner of my soul
Thinking about living but trapped in a dustbowl
Stuck in a hole.
