When I Light This Cigarette - Poem by Rosh Varghese Mathew

When i light this cigarette
Girl, you come to my heart.
The day we first met
Of me, you became part.

Those good old days
And the dreams we saw...
The love in your gaze,
I could never let go.

When you were near
I felt as if in heaven.
Wish you were here...
And gave what you have given.

How many times did i get lost...
In your eyes' blue?
I have yearned the most
To be with you.

Now when you leave
Oh, i'm in pain...
I have nothing to give
God! keep me sane.

Now dies the cigarette
(i'm on a high)
And with it, let
Your memories die..! !
