When I looked into your eyes,
I saw deep inside of you.
I saw every secret locked up tight,
And every feeling too.
I knew that you were hurting,
That you needed someone there.
I could tell that you were lonely,
And also very scared.
I saw you in a brand new light,
When I looked into your eyes.
Outside I saw a smile,
But I knew it was just a disguise.
I could see that you were unsure,
You felt no one could understand,
I knew you needed some comfort,
So I reached out and gave you my hand.
I can tell that you need someone,
And I know this is only a start,
But when I looked into your eyes,
I could tell that I had your heart.
