WHEN I’M AWAY
When I’m away
Having travelled awhile
My home a place yonder
Where the sun sets
And the cloud burn
Crimson like the petals
Of a gentle rose
And I feel loneliness
Far too profound
When I’m away
My home a place yonder
Is a land of fantasy
Of green vales and hills
Blessed with golden showers
And roses in full bloom
And cherries blossoming wild
Littered with refreshing colors
That speaks of its bliss
And her smile envision
Brighter than the eye of the sun
And warmer than its majestic rays
As it slowly wakes
From its heavenly sleep
To immortalize her face
To paint a lasting memory
To worship this goddess
Forever locked in my heart
But when I’m here
Having travelled days
My home is still the same
A desert in the ocean
A useless dropp of rain
In the heart of a hot storm
And her face’s a mask
To torture and hurt
An ugly cross I carry
In my lonesome heart
At every rising morning
And every sinking evening.
