When In All The Clocks Poem by Pradip Saikia

When In All The Clocks

When in all the clocks
It is two minutes
Past twelve

Suddenly
The pendulum became motionless

The silent reptile of the stupefied wall
Also did not know

In the darkness of whose fist
Fell asleep
A firefly

When the blow of the conch
Died down

The petrified people
Looked opening their eyes

The water spout of sunshine
Is growing taller

By the other side of the eyes
Of the electrified people

Suddenly escaped
An ivory white bird

No one heard
Its bluish voice
