When It All Comes Crashing Down Poem by Dominique Millman

When It All Comes Crashing Down

When you think you've got it all, how could it slip away
knowing you were right but then turned wrong
the feeling of faith inside you can run away but
the death of a friend will stay
listening to the crying and the wails of others
knowing they lost someone who never cared for her mother
the night it happened a tragedy so rare, her father could not bare but her mother could, sitting on the stools so tipsy and drunk
calls on her cellphone being thrown to junk
she doesnt even care that her daughter had passed
using drugs and alcohol never done her best
the father sitting on his bed side, tears so blank
never thought he'd lose his baby but just knowing that someday he will be with her again
she was only thirteen and didnt know but to have fun in life and do what you can
taking drugs and alcohol were not the best choice but this girl can still use her voice
