When Love's Gone Poem by Whitley Parson

When Love's Gone

Thoughts and feelings spinning,
colliding like fireworks that greet the new year.
In my head; screaming
wish I were dreaming
Is yesterday real in here?

tomorrow’s a day I loath to face
if it’s like what I know it will be.
lost and alone,
all I love gone
eyes that are too dark to see.

Make it all go away, take the pain away.
hope can't stop what is happening.
I have been forsaken.
all has been shaken,
jaded, dejected, cold.

A soul only hollow
no path to follow
home doesn’t feel like home.
is this how it feels when love’s gone?
