When Love Turned to Shadows
Once, they breathed each other's name,
Two hearts dancing within the same flame.
Now they pass like strangers in the street,
Beneath the same sky, where their dreams once met.
They dreamed of a home with walls of grace,
A sanctuary where love would have its place.
But silence now echoes through every room,
And what they built stands like a loveless tomb.
Their hearts once bloomed beneath love's tree,
Its branches reaching toward eternity.
Then came a storm, wild, fierce, and free,
And tore away what they thought would always be.
Leaves fell like promises, scattered and torn,
While the wind carried dreams they had sworn.
Every broken piece of their hearts drifted apart,
Like forgotten verses from a once-written heart.
Once there was life; now distance lies deep—
Yet perhaps love did not die; it merely fell asleep.
And in the house they built from dreams so high,
Only memories remain, still asking why.
For some loves do not end with goodbye—
They simply turn to shadows
That never leave the sky.
