As night falls, the cool breeze comes; humming a grey tune
and the craven evening sun stealthily seeks refuge behind the clouds.
As night falls, twilight betrays light.
The bright sky cowardly gives up its beam;
As night falls, its murk carefully seizes every atom of brightness
that gave hope to the dying day.
As night falls, the sky is clothed in black; mourning the departed light,
even as the moon refuses to concede its demise.
As night falls, the eye lids fall, spirits rise
and our souls to the beyond stray; as our bodies emptily lay.
When night falls, air is still, and nature sings.
And all life surrenders in rest; for a peaceful sleep.
