When No One Cares About Your Life Poem by Paul M. Mayer

When No One Cares About Your Life

The word Forever is a lie
When darkness comes, and light is neigh,
Because her hand lets go of mine
And my face it does not shine
Never will we be again,
Never knowing ever when
All is darkness and despair
Until that love again we share
Ever blinding lights so sure
From her angel’s wings so pure
I know she is no human being,
But instead an angel fleeing
Fleeing away from this cold earth
Leaving me to die, with no worth
Is there a point to this deep pain
Will a way come to make me sane
Make me better, if its true
Will only deceive, it will not do,
There is no way it can be done
Except to die, and for her to run.
Faster, Faster she will fly
Until she reaches in the sky,
An angel reborn on this world
Into my arms, my own sweet girl
But to let her go is not a way
To heal the pain, day by day
Together again, we’ll never be
Because she’s taken away from me,
‘Cause life is like a teddy bear
Only kept by those who care
And if no one cares to die,
For that person, life is neigh
I’m not sure if there’s a way
“There must be” is what they say
But they can’t understand at all
For deeper love is where I fall
Deeper, deeper every day
Farther with my heart away
She takes it with her sweet hands
And breaths life in what makes me man
