When Stars Align Poem by J.C. Masa

When Stars Align

I have my own version of perfection,
And you are the definition.
The fire in your eyes puts me in deep
combustion—igniting a spark in my
heart, like an explosion of constellations.

I enjoy being around you,
but I don't want to cross any lines -
if you're still with someone.
I'll wait for the day that I'll be your only one,
Not as an option or a choice, but as a destined one.

Still, your essence magnifies me closer to
A love I can only dream of holding true.
Though distance keeps our hearts apart,
I carry you always, within my heart.
And if fate allows, when stars align,
All the fragments of us will intertwine.
