When The Sun Rained And Rain Shone Poem by Noel Chesco

When The Sun Rained And Rain Shone

WHEN THE SUN RAINED.
There are times,
When the heavens go crazy,

And when they do,
Man does too,

For when the sun rained and rain shone,
The man caught man,
And sold him, like a cup,
Then he took her chest apart,
And played with her systems,
Day by hour,
Night by day,
Whipping her to sow and reap,
That not of her own.

When the sun rained and rain shone,
The heroes died,
And then,
Bad beat good,
For the magic of ‘maji',
Was lost.

When the sun rained and the moon shone,
Terror broke in Sharpeville,
Manslaughter was witnessed in the hills of banyarwanda,
Massacre began in Soweto,
Children and scholars,
Came torrenting,
To the oppressor,

When the sun rained and rain shone,
The one shrunk the other,
Calling him a curse by scripture,
A remainder of sins,
Uncivilized,
To be ruled and oppressed,
As an ant in a colony.

When the rain shone and sun rained,
The long robed married,
The head covered carnated,
The creator's mercy,
Was sold for 10 drachmas,
In the holy city.

When the rain shone and sun rained,
Man broke,
Into pale and rich,
As honey and water in a glass,
Honey at the bottom,
Water on the top,

WHEN THE SUN RAINED AND RAIN SHONE,
The heavens went crazy,
And so did man.
