When The Sun Was Still Shining Poem by Eliza C.

When The Sun Was Still Shining

When I had a place to go
When I had someone to call
When I had something to hear
When I had a thing to think

I was on a cloud, never thinking
about what will come
I used to think we're invincible
We were not.

When I had where to eat
When I had someone to eat with
That was fun and I did not think
This day will ever be

When I have nothing to think
When I have no one to hear
When I have nowhere to go
When that someone I would call
Is gone.

When I sat there having no doubt
You would ever not come back
You passed over my beliefs
You showed me my tears

All that matters is that you re not
Here, with me
I wonder why
We'd always been good people
Why did we have to die?

You know, I remember
When I had a place to go
When I had someone to call
When I had something to hear
When I had a thing to think

It was good, it was
But why isn't it anymore?
But I know that
The sun is not shining
Not anymore.
