When Words Betray Poem by EU STRESS

There are moments when I feel
How much I still need you;

These are moments when
I need to sublimate through poetry,
But words betray.

Only tears trickle down
Like rain drops –
Dribbling down the wind screen;
Tears that bear a language
In contrivance with silence
A language –
Beyond verbal transcription.

And memories sprint past
Like surreal dreams.

And I hate myself
For my inability to erase you;
As the earth
Can never elude the sun.
