When You'Re Not There At All Poem by Kadie Lawrence

When You'Re Not There At All

What am I supposed to do?
I've become completely dependent upon you.
Not that I'm complaining,
You come in right on que.
You're always there to catch me,
When I'm feeling especially blue.
How bad is it going to hurt,
When you're not there to catch me?
When you give up on trying,
To make me see you love me.
But I'll take it with a dazzling smile.
And make all of the tears worthwhile.
Just to see you smiling.
Until someone catches me lying.
How hard am I going to fall,
When you're not there at all?
