When You Take The Sym From Sympathetic Poem by Dan Reynolds

When You Take The Sym From Sympathetic

When you take the Sym from Sympathetic?

That “Friend in need” enigma called today
to woman and to man in different guise.
The woman heard and answered straight away
the man held back, in thought. That’s no surprise.

He paused to try and take this thing apart.
Delaying, then replaying his reply.
The woman merely opened wide her heart
without the need to ever question why.

There’s logic in the sympathy of man
who keeps his succour locked up as his wealth
While woman shares as only woman can
and man pretends to keep it to himself.

While Woman’s aid will lend a tender touch,
Man feels your pain, but cannot show as much.

Great poem. Great explanation of difference between man and woman in expressing or not their feelings. Really like it a lot. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
