When You Were Young
Can’t you remember
When you were young
And nothing mattered
Except for the sun
Everything was simple
Feelings rarely got hurt
And nobody minded
If you laid in the dirt
So you got a little time
Have you chosen the past
The memories there
Have not long to last
Some things you may
Never ever forget
Others, forever,
You’ll learn to regret
So live a little backwards
For an hour or two
And live the moments over
That made you you
Don’t you remember
When you were young
Forever was so short
It proffered a run
