When Your Eyes Are Closed Poem by Andrew Adams

what do you do
when you close your eyes
do you just sleep without a care
do you ponder your imagination
do you dream of fantasy or reality
or picture a lost loved one
there are many things you can do
but the question is
can you?
I know I can
when I close my eyes
I sheild the sounds & images of the world
I may do one or two of those things
but I always play
I am not the kind to pray aloud
I may not show feelings as I pray
yet within I show it spiritually
when my eyes are closed I see a heaven
