Whenever I Reminisce Poem by Clara Diskley

Whenever I Reminisce

My eyes get so wide and see all of the past
Whenever I reminisce I stare out into space into a whole
new world
The world I used to know, the world I currently don't know

Right now I'm in a cyle of doing the same dreadful things
I close my eyes and pray for a better day
What I dream of is being free instead of being locked up in this
world I hate

You wouldn't know since you can't relate
On the inside I'm practically dying on the outside I'm
barely getting by
I guess you could say the feeling is unknown
Lost in this place where there isn't anyone to care
