Where Are You, My Love? Poem by Jennifer Rosario

Where Are You, My Love?

Where are you, my love?
I have been waiting for you to call my name
from beyond hills and across vast lands
from vacant lots to crowded alleys

I have prayed for you, my love
that we will be untied under the Heavens
in front of God,
in front of man

I'm trying, my dear
to remain pure and chaste for you
to build up a love that will sustain you, my dear
to lay down and give up all that I have for you
everything I am

Where are you, my love?
I have written songs for you
I have abandoned heartache for you
I have withstood demons for you

my love,

I will wait as long as waiting desires

anything,

for you

mylove.
