Where Art Thou, Mankind? Poem by Cyclopseven R

Where Art Thou, Mankind?

When prosperity begins to weigh the mind
sanctity and spirituality driven out of conscience
and in barren desert love is spoken with cactus thorns.

Humanity is crawling, though to fly is the strength given,
dearth of love divide the flocks unto poverty of soul
in racial tones and religious fire the slur is thrown.

Time strengthen its grip day by day in eternal presence
while man leaving the source, wandering forlorn in the grip of sensuality
with selfishness glued in the thoughts and actions, deliberately left hanging.

God’s presence is not an existence to be feared by thoughts and actions
to kill and to rape the justice, is a norm practiced by some brutes
the catalyst of a new world order, stomp the weak praise the powerful.

The hefty load of currency notes that fill the pockets of their pants
gruesomely shade the true vulgarity of dead humanity’s selfishness
and violation that encroaches the right of hypocrites are shunned strongly.

The sweat which bleeds from hard work of many toiling man
falls on earth just to go in vain, and nothing good the workers gain
puffing the tobacco rolls they walk about in search of something void.

Tears of sorrow finds the resting branch amidst the worrisome sleep tonight
and the next day to come will just be the same one for them, the workers
until selfishness of man forever thrown unto dust.

Missing sanctity and spirituality in the absence of a god divine
kills the nature mankind, in chaotic search mankind forgot the truth in the grip
and one day we may slowly stumble upon our dry heart again,

Yet we may not stop to water it to see the flowers of hope bloom
but we will be whistling away the tunes of the survivalist
without much care of the weak and the meek.
