How can I know where I’m going?
Until I know where I’ve come from?
With the clouds rolling onwards
On the giant sea above
With powerful waves
And sometimes a great roar
The clouds keep on moving
The swaying grasses beneath my feet
As I run but from what
I know not
The sun at my back shines bright
Providing hope to every living thing
But I myself find it too bright
Too unrelenting
I lay down in my bed of grasses
Whilst the birds and insects
Continue with their own personal affairs
I listen to the world
Trying to take in everything that I am being told
I stare with confused eyes
Wondering how I shall ever understand
I shout where in this world do I fit in?
Everything stops and not a sound is to be heard
Is that my answer?
Do I not belong?
Where in this world do I fit in?
