Where Do You Go Poem by Anusha Subramanian 99

Where Do You Go

With eyes like shattered glass
Smiling through her broken heart
Waiting for the time to pass
Drifting so far apart

Perfect to the outside world
Everything is so absurd
Nothing is the same inside
All her feelings she just hides

And when she falls down
There's no one to catch
And then she moves on
But she is all scarred and scratched

What do you do when your lonely?
What do you do when the world goes round?
Where do you go when your broken?
Where do you go when you wanna be found?

Crying herself too sleep
Oh no, she is in too deep
Delicate and crumbling
Lost her step and fumbling

And then she is drowning
No one to pull up her hand
She missed her crowning
Now she's stuck in quicksand

What do you do when your lonely?
What do you do when the world goes round?
Where do you go when your broken?
Where do you go when you wanna be found?

Then the spark of defiance
Lights up the fire
It's the end of her tryst
With her desires
And gone is her dire strait...

Laughing with her pretty eyes
Smiling through her mending heart
Looking at the time that passed
Now she's not so far apart

Dancing through the fireflies
There under starlit skies
She ha found the one at last
She's letting go of the past

What do you do when your lonely?
What do you do when the world goes round?
Where do you go when your broken?
Where do you go when you wanna be found? !
