Fakes Poem by Anusha Subramanian 99

Fakes

They cry wolf all the time
And justify their love crimes
Nothing is as it seems
Now it's team against team

Spinning yarns is their specialty
So cruel in reality
Climbing over people to reach the top
There is nothing at which they will stop

Such people are called fakes
They have no concept of give and take
But respect is earned not bought
If you fall you won't be caught

Smiling in front, bitching behind
There is too much attitude to find
Never uttered even a word kind
Always one of two faces and minds

It's all what you wear and who you know
They think it'll take them where they wanna go
Always gushing like they're such a sweetie
Don't you dare call me 'darling' 'honey' or 'baby'

One look at you and I might just puke
No effect of any rebuke
Fawning and falling over every guy
It's insulting to see you'll go so high

Such people are called fakes
They have no concept of give and take
But respect is earned not bought
If you fall you won't be caught
