Where Gone The Colorful Gypsy Crowd Poem by KAVIN CHARALAN

Where Gone The Colorful Gypsy Crowd

One day in the outskirt of my village
I saw a group of nomadic gypsies
wearing colorful dresses
and seashell rings bangles & necklaces
were dancing happily singing in not understandable dialects
I was watching them curiously!
They invited me joyfully with their gestures
and I joined them happily 1
I ate and drank whatever they gave
I wore those colorful dress and shell ornaments
I danced with them all male female young old
with strange ecstasy from morning to evening!
In the night I went to my home!

Next morning I went there with hangover delight of previous day
To my surprise I found none
Where on earth the gypsy crowd have gone
They might have left before the dawn!

The gypsies the colorful joyous nomadic crowd
great wanderers rest permanently nowhere
moving from place to place loving free air
Bye bye the wanderers with golden hearts
I hope I may see you somewhere someday in one fine dawn!
