Where Has Our Age Gone Poem by Derek Kuborn

Where Has Our Age Gone

I'm lookin' at charts of stars
And I don't know where they are
I don't know where I am
But that's where we all began
Kicking and screaming
Like the world when its born
So peaceful at first
But our age has been worn.
And the weathers growing colder.
with the aging of our years.
Consuming our misfortune.
Until we are machines with broken gears.
We counted out the thousands
Of clouds that we could find.
But from our height where we're at.
We can't find one that's right.
We sink into the gutters.
Hoping that there will be air.
Casting out our brothers.
For the life we all share.
I thought I was blessed.
But I guess its not there
