Where I Wish I Was Poem by T.J. Daniels

Where I Wish I Was

Every now and then
I catch myself
staring into empty space.

Is this the start of senility
or is my mind telling me
that I'd rather be

where I wish I was.

Then I come back to reality
and look around
and realise

that I'd rather be
where I'm not.
