Where Is My World? Poem by Unnamed Weirdo

Where Is My World?

I waited, waited for quite some time, till you got ready to go.
You stole my heart and walked away. All the while, you knew, you know
I hoped that you would come back and say that you felt the same
I waited, waited for quite some time, till this would stop, this game.

Where is my world? Where has it disappeared to? To which place has it succumbed to?
This search is leaving me feeling lost, confused, and alone. What’s this I’m going through?
This journey is making me incomplete; the puzzle pieces are missing. Beaten and broken
Can’t find no escape, agony is agonizing. This emotion is sinful, teasing and forsaken

I hoped, hoped for quite some time that things would end all sweet
I waited for you to come back, return to me and sweep me off my feet
Honey coated sugar dreams finally break and drift away in nothingness
And I’m falling back into thoughts that haunt me, being my safety harness

Where is my world? Where has it disappeared to? To which place has it succumbed to?
This search is leaving me feeling lost, confused, and alone. What’s this I’m going through?
Senses have turned numb; emotions have gone in overdrive, and everything’s out of control
Sanity has gone insane, thinking about things unneeded, no concern for any reason or moral

I watched, watched for quite some time when you looked unwavering at me
This was not how I thought things would end; this was not how it was to be
I know what you don’t know that I know, and I know you know I feel this way
You came back, but barely spoke a word. I miss you but you ignore me anyway

Where is my world? Where has it disappeared to? To which place has it succumbed to?
This search is leaving me feeling lost, confused, and alone. What’s this I’m going through?
I wonder why. ‘Why’ blurs my mind and leaves the dull brain retarded. Uncertainty shrouds.
I want to escape, but there’s no way out. I’m stuck in too deep. Love is prominent as clouds.
