Where Is The Voice? Poem by Katlynne Houston

Where Is The Voice?

Where is the voice that speaks for me?
Where are the eyes that are suppose to see?
Where is the voice to explain,
All the tears and all the pain?
Where is the one to nurse the cuts?
Where is the one that I can trust?
Who can make it go away?
Who will hear the things I say?
Why do they take so long to come?
Who will protect me? I'm so young.
When will I be safe from harm?
When will I feel the comforting arms?
Why don't you see that I need some help?
Why can't you get that theres no one else?
I can't do it on my own,
You don't see what happens at home.
I'm too young to help myself,
When I'm scared to go and tell.
If I tell it might get worse,
And I can't handle how much it hurts.
Where is the voice that's suppose to tell?
Where is the one who will come and help?
Who is the one sent frome above,
To shelter me and show me love?
Who will show me what it's like,
To live a happy, loving loving life?
Who will finally see the pain?
Who will make it go away?
Where is the voice that speeks for me?
Where are the eyes that are suppose to see?
Where is the one to make it go away?
I hope they come before it's to late.
Untillthey come I'll sit and wait,
For the voice that will come and say;
'I'm the voice that speaks for you,
I'm the one who knows what to do.
I'm the person you can trust,
It's OK just come with us.
They won't hurt you ever again,
It's OK just take my hand.
I'm gonna get yu out of here,
So you won't cry anymore tears.
I'm the one that heard you pray,
And I'm here to take the pain away.'
I'll go with them and I'll be safe,
So now I'm waiting for that day.
