Where Love Could Reside Poem by Purnima Manhas

Where Love Could Reside

Rating: 5.0

Where Love Could Reside

When you cuddled me around
And I squeezed into your space
Making it one large space
Where love could reside

When you looked at me
With love
In my worst fits of anger
When the sense of ‘we’
Deluded by me
And when only “I” deemed prevail
Your gentle eyes, as they caressed mine
Putting out the fire in a single contact
Made way for space
Where love could reside

When I had to forget
All your kind
When nothing but my ignorance stayed
I forgot that little common room
Where every single problem, we solved
And every dream we discovered
When I forgot that I belonged to You
And you derive your breaths from mine
When I was all set
To destroy our life
Then your little, tiny heart
As you laid over my chest
Till our beats drummed a single sound
And made a space where love could reside
Forever now.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Love even it flows from a single heart, has the power to make space in the other. Love is that fire which melts all that is not Love. It quite happens, that couples face difficult part of relation. This is a very sensitive moment. And just a single move from one part, does it all! Love just needs an effort, and it is all set to enter even though the most furious minds. And that effort, is my inspiration. I dedicate this to my partner, who truly, makes space for love where it could reside.
